Senior Residential Childcare Practitioner

Salary: £28,163 – £31,904 + £60 per sleep-in

My client is seeking a Senior Residential Childcare Practitioner to help lead a therapeutic care team working with children who have experienced trauma and adversity.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

Deliver and oversee high-quality, trauma-informed care
Safeguard and support children’s emotional, physical, and educational development
Supervise staff, manage rotas, and deputise for the Deputy Manager
Lead incident response and liaise with external agencies
Support care planning and multi-agency meetings
Embed therapeutic parenting and positive behaviour support
Maintain compliance with health, safety, medication, and financial procedures
Participate in the staff rota, including sleep-in duties

Experience in residential childcare and team leadership
Strong understanding of safeguarding and therapeutic approaches
Excellent communication, organisation, and resilience
